Please see upcoming courses from the Neurodevelopment Team taking place between November and December 2023. There are specific sessions related to supporting children with ASD, but there are also sessions from Occupational Therapy (OT) focusing on other issues like sleep. These are great opportunities for families to learn about a range of Neuro related support needs for children.

The Friends of Beckford is the title of the Parent Council for Beckford Primary School. We meet on a Thursday night once each month, in the school. Meetings are informal and fun and involve planning future fundraising activities, hearing school reports and discussing any ideas that have been put forward from the Pupil Council.

All money raised by the Friends of Beckford is given to the school, and examples of where money has been used include purchasing football strips for the school football team and part payment towards the Christmas pantomime. Events we run annually include Halloween parties and a fun night in June.

The Friends of Beckford also look at any external funding which can be applied for to help with bigger projects; only recently we were granted £900 to be used for the outside area of the school when the extension is complete.

All parents are welcome to attend our meetings and even if meetings cannot be attended regularly, we always need volunteers for the various events we organise.

Please come along and join in, all the kids benefit from the work of the Parent Council.
