We would like to thank the parents and carers who attended our annual Meet the Teacher event held yesterday. Feedback from those who attended, suggests that it was very helpful to get to meet the teachers for the new session.

27th October 2016
The Halloween Disco was a huge success on Thursday 27th October. The children thoroughly enjoyed the event and I have to say that the costumes were ‘spooktacular!’. Well done to Robert McTaggart in Primary 1, Briony Burns in Primary 3, Eva Dickson in Primary 4 and Craig Milne in Primary 4 who received prizes for their costumes on the night. Thank you to all parents and the Parent Council who organised and supported the event.

The Primary Seven chidlren had a visit from the Outreach Service from the Scottish Parliament. The SP outreach visitor tweeted how successful the visit was:

The senior football team took part in their first tournament of the year. The children won their first game. Mr McCann said that the boys represented the school very well at the event. Well done everyone!!
11th November 2016
On the 11th of November, Remembrance Day, Primary 6 presented their assembly which focused on their learning about World War One. The children have engaged in learning through a variety of curricular areas within the theme of WW1, which have included learning in literacy, social studies and art.
1st December 2016
Thank you to the children, parents and family members who attended the School Christmas Fayre. The event was well attended and the support is greatly appreciated.
Our current total raised from the fayre is just over £1000, which will be used to support various school activities. Thank you again for your continued support.
16th January 2017 - August 2017 Primary 1 Enrolment Week
As you are will be aware children normally start primary school in August if their fifth birthday falls before the 1st March of the following year.
Please note that enrolment week for our Primary 1 August 2017 intake begins on Monday 16th January until Friday 20th January.
Any parent/carer wishing to enrol their child at Beckford Primary for August 2017 should come to the school between 1.30 pm – 3.00 pm during this week.
